No... they didn't turn out yellow. Maybe it's because they aren't all that compact yet? This set is only 20 months, and they reach me approximately down to my shoulder blades. I have long whispy ends, so I guess it would be hard for me to hide anything at all in there!

I flew a few months ago. The chatty, friendly gourd at the scanner told me that mature dreadlocks aren't permeable on the scanner, you can't see through/in them. So it's likely that we're more likely to be pulled aside not due to prejudice, but simply because our hair makes the scanner not work properly. She said it's the same for wet hair, so freshly shampooed women with lots of hair are likely to get extra screening too.
