@haircare yeah east coast of Australia Those particular trees don't actually shed in winter (a lot of Australian plants arent deciduous) but there were a lot of bare looking patches along the route. Seems common with some types of trees in some swampy areas around here. Possibly old fire damage? I wonder if the water might be a bit brackish along there also? Not sure. Wind in the area might also stump their growth a bit I'm not as familiar with that particular ecological community as I'd like to be so cant comment much on specifics.. It was hard to see from a moving vehicle but I'll look closer next time. I obviously like plants a lot lol

I think the undergrowth is just very exposed as well because there looks to be an almost monoculture of sedge like plants there and the trees just arent particularly large or lush species. I'll take some nice lush foresty bush pictures for comparison soon

Great pics Carrie and giggles! Sooo cool to live near a theme park. I do miss the thrill of rollercoaster rides... Ima bout an hour from Atlanta,Ga where there's a Six Flags, but it's been years since I've visited. Those places are always sooo crowded and most the day is spent hanging in lines (snore). Australia is an awesomely amazing place ♡ I've never been abroad but if I had to choose a destination it would be there or New Zealand Actually... come to think of it, I've never been in an airplane. Ima road trip kinda gal. Like to take in the scenery and stop at random places along the way. Get the fill of local flavor and such Thanks for sharing lovelies!

Actually, I do not live that close either Kat! And it has been like a decade or more since I was on a roller coaster. (Btw, this roller coaster was so freakin bumpy and rickety from age, all the thrill got ruined! ) but yeah, so, haha I honestly had to get my "sealegs" (idk the name for the condition of enjoying rides again) um and yeah, I could not stand the boat ride (pendulum ride), top level, as it hurt from too many butterflies, skipped the upsidedown going ring (tho mostly cuz I was hesitant. Probably good tho) um, but a few others were good, and my favorite was the one that goes around in a circle...h/o letme find a pic?...

Awww. I hate it wasn't good dang it. That link you sent, love that ride too! We have a traveling fair that situates itself in a parking lot near home that has one of those. Super funtastic! At Six Flags there's a coster called the Scream Machine and it is old as shit made almost entirely of wood. Very rickety bouncy but loved it (even though I though i just might die several times ha). They put it in reverse one year and that was a super wild ride fo sho Ohh and love the ones that go in loops, and the one where your feet dangle (think it was The Batman ride..not sure)

Yeah, we didnt do toomany, kids and all, plus it was damn hot! Well, hot enough. Ohhhh! But so I didn't explain, so that crow...that was for the sky ride or ski lift. Didnt go, but speaking of feet dangling That was one ride I did do in the past decade. (This mobile is slow right now, but I could talk rides all day ) Oh yes, missed the traveling fair here, but tbh, it is kinda grungy. But my fave ride there,...well, I will come back later and share when more time. ^^ ok, KaTune check it! Eeee! <3

Love that ride too Carrie! They had it at Miracle Strip in Florida. I think it was called Satan's Tongue or Satan's Mouth (can't recall) but the outside was a devil's head with these huge ass horns and the entry was through his mouth on his tongue! Oh and the bottom drops out once you start spinning.... sooo crazy and MUY Thrilling!! And here in Bama we have the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville which we took a field trip in school to. It has a similar ride called the G Force and lets you experience weightlessness

oh yea! I can still "feel" it KaTune when I watch that video! You know, I actually got to operate this once too! Made some poor kid puke too (this was bad, but kinda funny considering I'm like the nicest person...i mean, go figure that happens when I do it! ) Still find it funny people saying "the bottom drops out" (and no, not just cuz it's from that Beck song ) but because it's actually the "seats" that rise up and out! ^^ Oh man! I used to love flipping upsidedown...and when there were so few of us, like in that vid, so you could just sprawl out everywhere. haha yes, weightlessness! ^^ that's also why I liked the Music Express (well and plus the music ) haha I was literally flying out of my seat! Felt good! Guess I "lost control" in that moment and it was nice. (controlled chaos )

Like a real life Pantone colour sheet lol. I finally got some pics up the castle. It's difficult to get good shots of the view of Stafford so I've put in the one I actually took and then a cropped close-up.
