I like how he's looking at you the whole time like "what is this maniac doing, talking to herself" lol. I don 't really have any problem with N.Ireland accents but there is one sports reporter on the radio who's accent really does grate on me... I'm sure if it's a Northern Ireland accent or not, I'll see if I can identify him. I like yours, doesn't sound unpleasant at all!

Really? I didn't know that james played. Does he sing too? I've seen that jxbx plays and just found out last night that danzia is also a musician! Maybe we could start a "play a song" thread or try writing a song together or something of that nature. It's always best for me to try and keep my mind occupied and creativity fosters creativity We have quite a few musicians here.... I used to play the piano (by ear) and Ukulele, though both just for my own amusement and Olly and Robo are musicians, too.

That's super cool man You know I find that most people I know, well read about mostly, with BP tend to dabble heavily in the arts. I guess it's an outlet to express certain emotions and such. I find that I'm able to get wrapped up in many different artsy things during my ups, like teaching myself new skills and will work tedious on them (nonstop for days or weeks at a time) until something inside drops, and then I'm useless and the thought of even trying that skill during those times makes me close to nauseous. You could say I'm a jack of all trades, master to none...

I so love your voice! Very expressive, sweet and charming. I guess from watching movies, I imagined that it might have been thicker? Also kudos on rescues I have 11 dogs, some strays others from rescue. It's hard for me to say no to a babe in need. I've given them each their own voice because I find myself talking to them when I'm alone in ma house, and so I talk back to myself in the voice I've given them...ok so that might sound a tad nuts, but I don't talk to people at all...so...tmi

so glad you didn't chicken out! Very lovely voice...and yeah, I can hear a bit of the accent now. It's fine though...I mean to say, I have no bias or anything. In fact, husband works with an Irish man whom I've met and so, yeah, I kindof think of that. His accent is really strong...I still like it, but that's just me....haha although I can't always understand everything and it also seems he talks really fast. hahaaa (kinda how I type, eh?) Um...oh! and I understand that thing with the playback, but I'm a little over it now...that being said, I'm still not going to share one (even if I could). um...oh yeah, working on the accent. I do the same about mine too...that's kinda why it's tempting to find out what others would think of my amalgamation of an accent haha! but oh well. Last thing, you somehow remind me of how my aunt talks (I think that's the Irish side) but it's more of the "inflections"? rather than the pronunciations. lol Kindof funny...she's the one who helped me appreciate the different accents of the UK continent, because she's a vocalist and not afraid to speak "proper" in typical settings. While others giggle at her, I fricken admire her! anyway, as I said...lovely! I could oo and aahh ...but I'm shy (and have said enough already)

KaTune I love the Beatles too! I was obsessed with them throughout college. And your voice is lovely, you actually have kind of a country sounding vibe but like bad ass lol. Like you sound more like you're from the south when you sing hah. Anyways very cool, thanks so much for sharing your music. alethionaut your doggies are precious! I'm glad you didn't chicken out, your voice is very pleasant. Dreadlocktruth your voice is nice too! And Charlie is awesome. I used to have a parrot when I was a kid, and think of that very fondly. I actually had two at different times but incompetent family members let them fly away 😞 @haircare I was in minnesooota for years but don't think I picked up much of the accent. I know everyone east of Idaho pretty much says oreGONE lol. It doesn't bother me anymore, I just tell people that if you ever visit we will look at you funny if you pronounce it that way!

Yeah arose, I noticed the twang too when I played it back. A bit mortified by it until your kind words ♡ Haha! So thank ya kindly ma'am! I was in a duet type thing with my husband called Kat-Man-Duo and his style rubbed off on me I guess. He is VERY southern, like don't take my guns southern :/ ... He played guitar while I played mandolin and banjo and we wold sing harmory together. We covered Devil Makes Three, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Avett Brothers, Waylon Jennings and I mixed in a bunch of grunge bands from the 90s... Odd mix I know, but it appeased the bar sooo... The funny thing is I'm not a big country music fan (hate pop country) but I love bluegrass, outlaw country and roots music. I lived in Nashville for about 10 years and hated the way they did music there. They have one person write the song, then a pretty face to sing it with autotune and studio musicians, who are always spot on, but everything was sooo mechanical. Music should be fluid and flow between the artist. You know? Not mass produced... but i digress. Ima gonna hafta wurk honit much love

The duet sounds amazing! I like older country only. I'm slightly musical.. I played the sax for many years but haven't picked it up in a long time. I was a band kid 🤓 I've always admired people who can play and sing, it must be such a challenge to coordinate that! I love real singer songwriter music and have been exploring some indie stuff lately.

Playing and singing is quite the task, so we mostly start off by practicing walking and chewing gum at the same time and go from there. (Jk). I so wish that I were in school band. I'm not sure if the same goes for your school, but in middle school here, kids (well the parents) had a choice to take a reading class or music class (and while I suffered through having to read aloud in reading class I would daydream about all the cool kids playing in the music class...sigh). Are you more Coltrane or Kenny G? I got deep into jazz during college. Something about the movement and chaos was quite magical to me.. If you ever feel like sharing your musical finds, there's a thread called what are you listening to which I enjoy very much. I wish more people would post there because there is sooo much music out there and I love finding new things. And sharing music can help express how you're feeling without the use of words which is a beautiful thing

I forgot this! well...it's sortof anticlimactic now, but... well, I was talking to my Mom the other day, talking about the fun accents stuff here. Long story short, I got to alethionaut 's voice/accent, and saying how you sound so much like me, minus the accent. Well, all she heard was the sounds like me part and she's like "well, we are Irish!" haha and I was like "yeah, but only like a quarter or less right?" anyway, so I kept going like "Ireland...ireland,...ireland". I think I could pass for Kezi, if I just said "ireland" all the time. hahahaaa

This WAS to me, right? I think haha yeah, I kept interrupting the conversation just saying that. She was actually saying how she couldn't do accents, so I explained the whole thing (did I say this b4?) how my neighbor friend was doing accents before me in our childhood and I thought, what is an accent? I better learn how to do this, because that's pretty nifty! Haha Oh gawd! Can I share more? (What's the matter with me? No mute button! ^^) Was justthinking how I was born with this Southern accent...but I probably couldn't really talk as much like Kat, idk...but that thought rolled over to ohhh whats her name, from Walking Dead? she was interviewed and omg, cuz she is British right! And she was saying how speaking Southern wasn't really that hard of a switch...that somehow they are kinda close! Oh, I may have mentioned KaTune too...at how brave you were for attempting some different voices here. that I had to go practice my British accent later that noght. Ok, enough! ^^

KaTune oh man I'm sorry I didn't see that before! I'm much more Coltrane than Kenny g 😉 I was never very skilled at jazz because I was a lousy improv-er, but I so admired my bandmates in college who were actual music majors and were super talented. I'll check out the music thread too 😊

I thought you might be a Coltrane mama! Cool Yeah, there are some crazy random songs on that thread from most all genres and would be super cool of you to contribute some of your own tunes if you can. I love me some music!

Sooo, just being silly... I was strumming (mostly stumbling/ strumbling might be a better word though? ) through just a 2 chord progression on me guitfiddle (a 3rd chord added for accent at some points during) and started singing words to a Beck song... (Yes Carebare, Ima wit chas on being incredibly bOreD!) This song has some wacky wackadoole voices *mighta been German/American? Asian/American? redneck/redneck?* This is very basic to say the least, but ima doing this to completely humiliate meself to prove to ME that life doesn't have to be taken sooo sooo very seriously! And also to kinda say, if or when playing music, no matter which instrument, just relax and have fun with it. It's supposed to be a release, not more added stress. Just go with the flow!!! Always remember to smile *a I'd just like ta add the yes, I have doggies singing ma backup *also been listening to mucho Keller Williams, and I can hear his playful spirit come out in ma sangin
