Thank you lovelies It's such a nice change of pace to get some positive feedback. This site is good for the soul fo sho. I uploaded my dreads to imgur.com to load them here and after only an hour I had dozens of hateful and flat out evil comments... I'm so proud of my babies! They don't deserve such negative vibes... The same happened to me once when I put some images on there, I didn't realise people could even comment. I think I got people telling me that they looked like they smell terrible, disgusting, spiders live in there, they look like actual "crusted turds." Haha. Please ignore them. Your set is lovely! I love all the loops and the texture. It looks like really fast progress too.

I thought about responding... but realized that it was just a waste of energy. People will think what they think. I know my hair wasn't responsible for crashing their ipad due to the overwhelming smell, and that I don't enjoy getting finger banged up the arse! Lol!! Thank you so much for your kind words

Beautiful! I love the color too. My naturally brown hair is bleached blond now. I've not had to touch it up yet, since I started my new dreads. I'm curious to know how your bleaching process went. I do intend to continue lightening the roots.

I do intend to continue lightening the roots. I lover your color too doll! It's hard to get an actual blonde color from brown, so I used wella t18 toner and a 20 volume developer to kick out the orange and gold. I decided to just go with quick blue powder bleach from l'oreal because I know I will need it again, but I want my roots to grow out a bit so i can measure growth over time. The bleaching process really locked up my dreads pretty tight (as you can see the difference between my 3 and 4 month pics) and I don't know why but it's easier to see each lock with lighter hair than my older dark color which is super cool

Love love love the texture mama! Looking good! I'm afraid of color admire your courage! You are so kind moon pie The best thing about color is that it can always be changed! I just wish I had the courage to do the unconventional colors that I see in all these other threads. I love the ones where each one is a different color, but I can see me totally messing that all up. Lol

I might use T 18 down the road. I love having blond hair and I agree that the dreads seem to stand out more on light hair. So you found the bleaching process helped, not hindered you locks? That's encouraging.

I was just thinking, you have had your dreads for about as long as I've been on this site!...but then I think I was a month off. Yours are older. XD Now, see, this is maybe how my originals would have looked when I first joined here, had I not crocheted. Oh well, live and learn! Now I have a set that looks different again, because I DIDN't T&R this time. I know why I didn't comment earlier...because I'm jealous of your loops and whatever you call those...but I guess my "G" is showing some of that now, so it's all good! (I'm so messing around...ok, well a little jelly, but more just because I wasn't on when you joined.)

I guess we all have different habits on washing and maintenance so that might be why! I wish mine had more loops and zigzags, but only a couple are doing it as of yet. I think people with longer hair tends to loop more per dread. Idk. I'm happy that yours are starting to get funky
