Man, I really wanted to go to see them but the week they're playing a gig I can make, I have to stay home because there's no one to look after Charlie. I was gutted they weren't at Download, too, as they've been playing it at festivals lol. Ah well....
First time I saw them at Download, I was third row and crowd-surfed for the first time in my life so that's a cool enough memory.

I would fucking love to hear Helmet In The Bush played live, though. -.-

I wondered if you had considered going. Its a damn long way but it'll be worth it. Not heard of the opening acts but hey sound entertaining enough (unlike mariachi el Bronx.. Haha)

Who's opening? And BTW.... I have heard FAR worse openers than mariachi el Bronx lol. I would even go as far as to say I could tolerate them.

Snot and Sunflower dead. Not heard of them before but a quick Google makes me think they'll be fine.

What am I listening to right now? Kids screaming. I think I need to blast some music to drown out the noise. Non-stop bickering here.

Fun fact - I can't listen to 'Another Brick In The Wall Part II' without playing Part I and that first. They just go into each other so well.

There was youtube video where someone had very helpfully mixed the three together from the 2011 remaster.

Have you had a go at the wizard of oz/ Floyd mashup?
Probably my favourite band. Apparently, I was born with pink Floyd on in the delivery room - and my dad has pretty cool music tastes. The first two gigs I ever went to (he took me to both) were Radiohead and The Australian Pink Floyd.
I keep telling him it's his fault I'm a mad rock chick. Especially when he looks at my hair and raises his eyebrows.

I've never done Dark Side of the rainbow myself, Kezi. I know David Gilmour says there was never any intention, and that any appearance of synchronicity is a coincidence. He also said that the technology to put the film on in the studio in order to do it just didn't exist then. I wish my Dad had liked floyd. He hated them, "Fookin' druggie dropout music fer wasters to sit around gerrin' spaced aaht", he would say. He liked the Division bell, but that doesn't count IMO. Oooh, young lust is so good, I think I'll listen to it again.

Agreed on division bell hah
I've done the Oz and pink sync before on mushrooms and nitrous back in the day. It was awesomeness. Oz was in my living room.
