Proper Scottish accent and he's trying to sound clear our Kevin. You get used to it after a while and can hear.

I'm going to call you Barry now Carrie. So Barry, Baz, Bazza. Yeah even as an English person next door I've met some Irish or Scottish people and I can't understand a word they are saying. I really try, but some regions have very strong accents let alone different words they use. You figure it out in time. But it's completely normal to just not know what folk are saying. I've lost friends because I just didn't understand their accent and you can't keep saying 'what' 'can you repeat that', to their frustrated face. So, ok we can't talk ever again. Ooops

Ooops Carrie mentioned Craig Ferguson, who is pretty big in America... he was paranoia in the "confidence and paranoia" episode of Red Dwarf 28 years ago. I don't think I've seen him in anything else since, over here, and he's a huge star over there!

Here's an attempt at live transcribe of the above:
Hello there, and welcome to the wonderful world of smelly underclass embarrassments. I'm this week's smelly embarrassment and I am speaking to you from that haven of libertine enlightenment, Glasgow, where the counselors - in a bold bid to upgrade the city's image - have banned drinking on the streets, which is why I and tens of thousands of other good wasters, like the good citizens we are, have switched to wholesome healthy soft drinks. Why then, I hear you ask, why then are you staggering? Well, work it out yaself, you know?
OK, that's half of the video, can't be arsed to do the rest lol.

Ooops So is my first thought upon reading this that you cant talk to ME anymore true? Haha because you should really see my face sometimes when I read whatyou write. but then I realized that you COULD be talking "we" as in conversation with your scottish friends. but, the fact that I even have to ask...and you have said yourself how I confuse you sometimes (I forget the words, but it is here somewhere) I mean that has tobe proof enough that it is a legitimate misunderstanding. Haha right?

Erm, I was just being honest. I made friends with an Irish guy with a really strong accent and had no idea what he was saying. The third time we met up it was clear I was doing his head in by not understanding anything he said. So we just nodded at each other from afar after that. It was for the best.
