Oh he's an oriental. Basically Siamese. His Brother was a Havana Brown breed. He came out that colour. Think he's 7 now.

I'm not fond of cats myself, but it really distresses me how much my parents hate them. Ever since I was a kid, they'd run out hissing at any they saw in the garden and they actually think they're "evil" in some way.

Haha! Sounds like that could be a hilarious sight...
But ja my grandma was the same but still kept a few round the farm to catch snakes.
She would scold me when I wanted to pet them and say they're disgusting and riddled with disease...wonder what sort of bad experiences lead to such hatred/fear of any animal...

It's a weird thing I have with Flynn ( the cat). He's my sisters and him and his brother lived with my sister and her boyfriend in London. Then they split and he took one. Flynn then lived with me in Southend in Essex for 4 years. But then my sister moved to work in Manchester and took him with her. And I go over and pets sit when she's away for a few days. But now she's moving in with her girlfriend somewhere else in the country and the cat there apparently kills other cat's so she's not taking him. I can't have him here as he's and outdoor cat and the busy roads here would kill him, besides the fact there's no easy way for him to get out and he's an outdoor cat. So my mum is taking him, but I gotta go over there and stay until he's used to living there. Bloody cats!

Man that's a bum...moving and having cats is quite intense.
Our previous kitty was an outdoors cat and she took off when we started packing to relocate last year...we still have a cry now and then, very afraid of Stewie exploring outside the yard but its probably inevitable, he's already running around in the garden playing chase with Sandy every afternoon.

The sooner I get him out the better. He's left alone too long with my sister never home and he needs his household. I'll probably get him full when I next move again. I told my sister not to get cats years ago as I knew she'd dump him. But that's 3 times now. He acts like a scaredy cat, but after a few days with me he's more 'normal' again. So I gotta relocate him again. Luckily I don't live far away so I'll keep popping in as I moved. But I don't have a secure life, I keep worrying I might end up on the street so I wouldn't take on a pet until I felt secure. But it seems I'm forced into it. Not that it's any trouble, just that if I'd been allowed to keep him 2 years ago I wouldn't have moved into a flat by a busy road.

I'd be concerned living with a cat by that road too. I've lost one cat to a road before and it was distressing. Where I am now is perfect, though it always worries me if someday I had to move, how much it would impact on the cat, especially as he's never known anything other than farmland.

I was raised being told that I needed & liked dogs & that cats were terrible animals. Now that I'm grown up & making my own choices it turns out I really like cats & don't care for dogs. They can be very different creatures for probably being the 2 most common pets.
