Ahhh oh no. I have that picture in my mind now. No, don't want a 'run-over' terrapin. Man I could cry. Nope.

I know :/ and my parents lied and said he'd just run away but they found him in the road ... I didn't find out until several years ago

I think my terrapin thinks she is a cat. Only way I can explain her moods and then how she crawls up you leg and sits on a knee for cuddles. I never want the responsibility of pets. I don't feel settled in a place so it is unfair. But if I have a rescue pet, I'm in for the long run. So I am a pet person. If a cat needed some dinner, we'd be friends for life and I'd let them in forever. . But I don't want to do it.

Sometimes, when I'm fussing with Charlie, I look at him and think how much of a privilege it is to share this little slice of time with such a sweet little animal and to get to know him and I try to take in as much of it as I can so I'll always remember. Do you guys ever have moments like that with your pets?

I had a very intelligent cat when I was young. Definitely blessed. This ones a bit more stupid. Cat cuddling my monster. Or my monster cuddling the cat.

I have never had a pet now I don't have conditions to bring any, maybe when I get a job and rent my own flat/house, then I'll consider getting a dog thanks to memes I discovered shiba dogs, they look just lovely

When my cats died (of old age, within months of each other), I felt really sad of course - but at the same time oddly grateful, because they loved me and I loved them and we'd had so many good years together. jxbx, what a handsome dog!

This is Shakti. I've had her since January 2015. She was a stray, here on the streets of India, where I've been since 2014. I run a dog rescue service in this small town. She was the first rescue, and the one that spearheaded my initiative. We are together 24/7. Sweetest, friendliest pup ever ;-) *edit* FYI - I created a FB page for her a few months ago, I still have to add a ton of pics. But give it a like, if ya like ;-) www.facebook.com/shaktithedog/
